We encourage you to consider becoming a member of our Board of Directors in the 2024-2025 season. Maine Evolution, is a non-profit USA Hockey affiliate program that provides youth hockey instruction in Southern Maine.  Our home rink is the USM Ice Arena in Gorham. The Board is responsible for formulating and administering the policies and the rules of the hockey program, as well as establishing a budget and annual fee. Please see our By-Laws for further information on the makeup of our Board.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about youth hockey and strengthening our organization into the future to join our board in April (descriptions of open positions are below).  We know many of our members have the skills and knowledge to be a valuable asset to our program.  Being a member of Maine Evolution’s Board of Directors provides you with a unique opportunity to contribute to important governance and decision-making. The main purpose of the Board of Directors is to oversee organization operations, address issues of concern/conflict, and oversee the organization’s strategic direction. Board meetings are held monthly and each will be about 2 hours in duration. The time of the meeting will be based on all board members’ availability. Board members serve 2-year terms.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering becoming a part of Maine Evolution’s Board of Directors. If you are interested in more information about becoming a board member, would like to run for one of these volunteer positions, or would like to nominate someone who would be a good fit for one of these positions, please respond via email before March 22nd to current Secretary, Jennifer Beaumont at thebeaumonts@yahoo.com.
